SF Band seeks Videographer for Summer 2010 Tour of United States:
The San Francisco based band, Alma Desnuda, will be traveling on a three month tour this summer of the Western United States, New York, Texas, and possibly abroad. The days will be filled with many types of performances in all sorts of environments and venues playing for a wide variety of people. The mission of Alma D is to make a valuable impact on the communities it visits by performing and volunteering for worthy groups and institutions, and at notable venues. With a sincere commitment to maintaining and spreading the "naked soul" lifestyle, the tour will be filled with experiences that are too rich not to have recorded and shared.
Alma D will have a videographer on tour with them this summer for parts of June through August. The videographer will be recording the day to day events, shows, and all other interesting content. The content will be turned into short videos/webisodes by the videographer, and will be completed and sent out weekly. There will also be an opportunity to compile all of the footage from the tour into a documentary film.
The videographer will be paid a percentage of the merchandise revenue, and have their food, lodging, and travel paid for by Alma D. They will also be gaining valuable work experience in multiple fields, and have the option of working as an intern for Alma Desnuda, LLC, with possible college/professional credit.
The videographer will have his/her own HD Camera, including all necessary recording equipment, as well as a full editing setup, including Laptop, to create and complete weekly videos for the band. The band will make time in the tour schedule to allow videographer to complete the weekly video requirement.
Given all of this, a strong candidate for this position is ambitious and looking for a fun and exciting way to spend his/her summer while gaining valuable work experience and potential college/professional credit. They are fun, creative, and outgoing, and are not only willing, but excited to see the United States through the Alma Desnuda experience.
A strong candidate for the Alma D-Tour Videographer position will have the following:
- HD Camera with all mics, stands, etc.
- Laptop computer with all Editing Software necessary to create videos on the road
- A strong understanding of marketing, especially in the Viral Internet realm
- A connection to and understanding of the Alma Desnuda lifestyle and mission
- An ambitious and fun approach to work and life
- Willingness to live on the road
- A creative mind skilled in storytelling with the ability to illuminate themes from tour footage

Note: Alma D is open to having two videographers on tour, so if you work with a partner, we can consider you both. Also, Alma D is open to having qualified videographers with limited schedules, though prefer someone that can travel the entire time.
